Gibson Explorer CMT (E2), 1982

Rare version of the E2 Explorer with a Curly Maple Top (CMT). All original with the exception of the strap buttons and a replaced tune-o-matic bridge that can very easily be put back to original - no modifications or repairs. The Schaller replacement bridge allows for more adjustment than the stock bridge. The tailpiece with fine tuners is an original part, a Gibson TP-6.
The finish and flametop on this E2 look amazing! The guitar plays perfectly with some light fretwear and less than average wear on the neck and body. The frets are not in need of work or replacement and the guitar sets up and plays perfectly.
The electronics are original and untouched, most of these that I see have had pickup changes etc...
The body shows some light dings, a little edgewear and a smaller patch of bucklewear on the back. The back of the neck also shows light wear. No cracks, repairs or issues anywhere on the guitar. Plugged in, it ROCKS!
Original hardshell case in excellent condition also included.
