The ultimate collector guitar! Oh my, this guitar is outrageous. Played it Friday night in the shop, it's SICK. By the way, it goes well with the 1977 Fender Vibrolux Reverb that just came in the same day..
The guitar is in exceptional condition with light checking, a small area of buckle rash on the back, some isolated wear through the finish on the back of the neck, a few dings here and there but overall it jumps out as one of the best looking 55 Juniors available right now. The tuner buttons are changed, the originals are in the case and are intact - just shrunken as is typical. The original Gibson Strings hang tag, two pictures of the original owner and a picture of the flyer from his gig in the early 70's. The guitar was originally purchased with the Lifton brown case, whish is included with the guitar and is in amazing condition as well. The first 7 frets on the guitar are changed and you'd never know without a very, very close inspection, there is some wear in the fretboard in a positions, nothing major. The replaced frets are virtually identical to the remaining originals and the work was done very professionally. The setup is perfect, I can tell the neck angle is just right. The bridges on 55's can sometimes lean in towards the pickup, there is no lean or cracking of the wood in that area on this guitar.
