This Park Plexi is nearly original with only routine maintenance having been performed by the extremely well regarded tech Don Butler - see his website at http://www.tone-man.com/. It's a rare piece, in excellent overall condition both cosmetically and functionally. No ugly mods or weird repair work. New JJ EL34 power tubes. Changed input jacks plus a few caps and resistors. A few cigarette burns are pictured on the top of the amp.
Some history on Park: "Business was so good that in 1996 the Rose Morris Agency approached Marshall about becoming the exclusive distributor of the company's goods. Marshall agreed to a 15-year pact. The contract barred the company from distributing amplifiers under the Marshall name. To continue to provide products to one of its loyal former distributors, Marshall launched a new brand—Park. Park amps, which were identical to the Marshall brand, except for the nameplate and price, remained in production until 1982."
Here is an email to the previous owner from tech Don Butler: Hi! I tried a pair of double getter Mullard xf2's in the amp. Wow!!
what a great sound. The Mid and Treble controls are a bit funny but
seem to work like they should but, from 12 o'clock backwards are a bit unusual. I wouldn't do anything as I think it's just the nature of the pots and caps interacting with age & use. I'm guessing that it's made probably with leftover JTM-45/JTM-50 parts. Most of the Park's from back then were made with surplus JTM-45 stuff. Killer amp.
