SOLDA beautiful and well cared for guitar.
This really is a stand out instrument as compared to other 50's and early 60's Strats I've handled and played lately.
The guitar is completely original with no repairs or changes. The neck is worn just enough with no dings or fret issues. There is some wear on the back of the body from reaction to a cable in the case. The original case, trem arm, strap and cable are included as is a period ashtray bridge cover.
The neck date is 1-61. There is no body date present, however the nail holes from the finishing process are there on the front of the body with no finish in them. Fender used a lazy susan to spray the outside layers of sunburst finish. The guitars were laid on a lazy susan on four nails. If these holes have finish in them you can tell whether a Fender of the period has been refinished or not. You can see the faded red portion of the Sunburst finish under the pickguard, it has faded as is typical on the rest of the body. Not a solder is changed on the guitar.
The 100% original guitar is the guitar to buy.
