This guitar is probably my favorite amongst my current stock. I have older, more rare and more expensive guitars, but this one stands out.
I have been telling customers and friends - and myself - that the 70's guitars are the ones to invest in. I believe they have the best upside, plus they are relatively affordable to most people. Already this is changing, especially when you have a piece like this.
The 70's was a tough time for many guitar manufacturers. There are bad examples from each maker, but there are stand outs of course. In a period where the guitars are somewhat suspect the best examples will prove to be the best investments.
For Fender, the 70's brought a lot of changes and increased production - basically resulting in inconsistency. Also, as we all know, many of the guitars are very heavy.
This guitar shows just enough wear that you know someone played it a little. It's got a classic look, and a slightly aged patina. The guitar is 100% original and free of repairs. It is also very light at 7 pounds 5 ounces. Included is the original case with the original bridge cover in the accessory pocket. The tone is unbeliveable, and the neck feels great. The frets show that they have probably been milled once, but they show little wear since and are in no need of work whatsoever. The guitar is issue-free and in no need of repair. You may want to set it up to your specs, but it will play well right out of the box.
Do me a favor and buy this guitar, I just can't keep it - this is my business and I need to sell even the guitars I want.
